What Is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is referred to as “human chess” because it is physically challenging and develops the intellect through continual strategizing. It is an ever evolving martial art, as unique as the person practicing it.

When students of this art come together, united by a shared passion that promotes perseverance, growth, a healthy lifestyle and the martial arts discipline and respect, a community develops. This is why we treat each other as family – the American Top Team Family – always helping each other grow stronger, be more.
